We hope you enjoy this book.
When you’ve finished reading it,

you can read it again,
give it to a friend,
or share it at a Little Free Library.

The Read & Share book distribution program was launched in Fall 2024 by The Book Bug in Thomaston, GA.

Seeking to improve the quality of books available in their community, and inspired by a volunteer experience with The Bookmobile in Cartersville, they created their own book distribution program, with a unique twist. Every book given through the program is meant to be read, enjoyed, and then shared again. To make this easy, each book comes with a QR code to our website, where families can find the interactive Little Free Library map. This encourages ongoing book-sharing and helps build a sustainable, community-based literacy network.

With hundreds of new children’s books to choose from, we hope there will be something for everyone, from board books for babies to novels for young adults.

In Fall 2025, we achieved our goal of expanding the Read & Share program to other counties, thanks to a grant from First Book, help from our Board Co-Chair, Miranda Loehle, and the dedication of The Book Bug volunteers.
