The Read & Share book distribution program was launched in Fall 2024 by The Book Bug in Thomaston, GA.

Seeking to improve the quality of free books available in their community, and inspired by a volunteer experience with The Bookmobile in Cartersville, they created their own book distribution program, with a unique twist. Every book given through the program is meant to be read, enjoyed, and then shared again. To make this easy, each book includes a QR code to our website, where families can find the interactive Little Free Library map. This encourages ongoing book-sharing and helps build a sustainable, community-based literacy network.

With hundreds of new children’s books to choose from, we hope there will be something for everyone, from board books for babies to novels for young adults.
